The Music Industry’s all about the green…

18 June 2007 2 views 3 Comments

I know you must be thinking to yourself, haven’t they always been. Well, while that holds true, we’re talking about the new “IT” thing to do: saving the environment. We’ve even gone “green” with our header, but record labels are taking time off from their busy schedule of jerking artists and firing employees to jump ship on this new green campaign that’s sweeping the nation. There has been a push in the industry to switch over to more environmentally friendly CD packaging, and the first victim may very well be the jewel case. Great! Now what will we have to break weed up on (no Jada).

While this new green movement is great and all, CDs are on their way out the door anyway. And I can think of plenty of things that labels can do to make the world a better place. Like stop puttin out wack ass albums. What a novel thought….go figure.

This is a good movement I guess, but I hate when people get all obsessed over something, unless it’s obsessed with me!

Yeah, I’m the same way, can’t stand when people don’t due the knowledge on certain shit. It is a good cause but I know they’re gonna market it to the point where people are gonna be sick of it and it diminished the value and urgency of the cause.
